I am trying to test some code locally and I need help getting a local mail server to test my PHP code that uses the mail();. If you know how to do this I would really appreciate the help! Thanks!

I will be getting my own dedicated server soon and while I have a functional knowledge of the concepts of Linux, I don’t know everything. Will my server be reasonably secure if I am sure to keep everything updated and patched (assume there are no PHP scripts vulnerable to SQL injection etc.)

I want to send mail with attachment using php.’
But I want to send that attactchment with different formats
Formats are:
1) Blogspot
2)Fixed line length TEXT: may be 60 characters per line
3)Free-flow TEXT
4) HTML sent as text
5) HTML sent as html
Please guide me .

I am working on Linux OS. I am using PHP’s mail() funciton to send emails (sendmail process is running ). But all the mails are going to spam (in case of gmail). I have not checked for other mail clients. I have tried many tricks that I found on net but none is working. Please tell me about any sure shot trick.
