There are too many tutorials out there that I don’t know where to start. I already have a webhost, so is there a site that explains setting up PHP on my cpanel somewhere, or do I also have to download PHP onto my computer?

I am growing interest in building and designing websites and have gotten through learning html. Now, I would like to move on to php, but I would like your help in deciding which book is a good source for learning about this topic. Thanks for your help! =]

I was thinking becoming a System Administrator but all the learning seems to be high so I was wondering if learming msql/php developer will get me a job faster instead? How long is the learning curve for that? I am 46 with some PC experience. Thx. PS: Should I learn mysql/php under linux or Windows?

Thoes For Dummies books just dont cut it thoes are the most horrible books I have ever read. I understand the stuff I already learned from them but the rest is a fail, I didnt learn crap from that book.
