How Do I Install Php 5 On My Yahoo Website?
yahoo is my web host, and they have a tool that installs php but it is php 4.3
I just downloaded the php 5 folder and extracted the whole thing on my hard drive, can someone please tell me what I need to do nexT?

In most cases, hosting comes with PHP or it doesn’t, unless you have a dedicated server. Hosting companies don’t usually give root access to users.

If a host doesn’t give you PHP you cant have it, If you want php free hosting http://www.freehostia.com lets you have it (also a mysql database)
Otherwise you can host your own PHP server by downloading apache

You need dedicated hosting with full admin rights to install something an invasive as PHP. The shared hosting provided by Yahoo!’s packages doesn’t give you sufficient access.
